Today it is raining, which might be dreary, but I got a free car wash! And my car really needed it. It felt great to save 3 bucks!

Today I browsed through a second hand bookstore with a friend. We looked through children's books and a little girl was sitting at a table with a stack of books, going through them and conversing with an imaginary person, telling them, "This one's good, this one's good, this one isn't good"... A little girl acting out her thoughts on a rainy day in a big old bookstore with no real audience (except my listening ears, I suppose).
Friday night I went to a movie with a friend, "Becoming Jane," which some critics have come down rather harshly on. But the story was quite unpredictable, and I found myself delighting in its tales of human desire both pursued and rejected. I usually find myself to be one of the critics, but maybe I'm loosening up a bit... Makes more room for laughter...
This week at work a co-worker lent me his speakers so I could listen to the radio online at my desk (which I later found out was a forbidden activity...oops! :)) I hooked it all up myself and was painstakingly sure to do it correctly so I could proudly display that I knew what I was doing, even with my computer. But, alas, when it was all said and done there was no music, and I retraced my steps to my co-workers office to ask for help. He returned with me to my desk, where I in mid-sentence of "Yeah, I just don't know what's not working here" simultaneously turned up the volume on the speaker, and voila! Music! Ha ha ha! He grabbed a few Mike and Ikes from my desk to compensate for his unfruitful journey... (Sour Mike and Ikes are really really good! Never knew I liked them before this week.)
Any other "delighting" stories out there? I wish you all many moments of it.

My wife was at the library waiting in line to check out her weekly alotment of books when the older lady standing in line behind her asked how old our baby is. My wife talked for a few minutes with her about the first 2 months of our little ones life. So the women asked if she smiles alot. My wife said that she smiles all day but alot when she sings. So the women shouted, " SHE SINGS, THIS BABY CAN SING". Holding back laughter my wife explaid that she ment the she sings to the baby.
