Changes

Early morning, thick grey sky, wisping rain;
Wind scurries around the dead leaves and waves barren branches in the air.
Afternoon brings more rain, soggy sleet drops, like big heavy tears.
Early evening and the wind has upset the clouds;
They are on the run, breaking up here and there,
Giant cottonballs of yellow grey and navy blue
Hurtling through the sky,
Playing tag.
The sun beams through their edges and enlivens the wet, golden green earth.
