"How Long to Sing this Song?..."

Psalm 40
I waited patiently for the LORD; he turned to me and heard my cry.
He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire;

He set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand.
He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God.

Many will see and fear and put their trust in the LORD.

Be pleased, O LORD, to save me; O LORD, come quickly to help me.
May all who seek to take my life be put to shame and confusion;

May all who desire my ruin be turned back in disgrace.
May those who say to me, "Aha! Aha!" be appalled at their own shame.

But may all who seek you rejoice and be glad in you;
May those who love your salvation always say, "The LORD be exalted!"

Yet I am poor and needy;
May the Lord think of me.
You are my help and my deliverer;
O my God, do not delay.

It's a New Year and I long to sing a new song... My good friend and "voice connoisseur" Michelle knows that the biggest hindrance to singing well is tension. I find so often that it is my own fears and habitual thoughts that "desire my ruin"- may I learn to turn from them in disgrace. May I find a firm place to stand, a rock that does not fail me or shift like uncertain shadows. I will wait patiently for my salvation~ I have tasted it before and will again. I will praise the Love that thinks of me, seeks me out and sees and patiently, excitedly tends to the new life slowly growing in me. I will throw myself at this Mercy that never gives up.

Hi there! Time for a new year with new goals in life. Set your compass to Jesus and He will take care of the rest.

I love you! Love Heather

I guess seeing that I am a Pastor I should have some kind of cheerful comment to leave you. Something like, "Seek and ye shall find", but most of that just seems very shallow most of the time. I think at this point in my life I would tell you to take time and live make sure to love others along the way and soon in these actions you will see Christ in you and in those around you.

oh, I posted that video I had told you about.
