One of my favorite films is "Million Dollar Hotel". Every time I watch it I feel blown away. At one point Tom Tom recites these lines (though I'm not sure where they come from exactly): "There is a heart that sleeps inside and it's to there you must be hastening; for all hearts dream, they dream only of awakening."
At the risk of muddying these words with too many of my own, I love the awakening part of it. I sit in my piano lessons, listening to broken notes and rhythm, and my reactions and thoughts disturb me. I question what my heart is really like. I usually decide it just plain isn't good.

And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us. Romans 5:5
God created my heart; it is good. I think it's the unawakened parts of it that darken my life so often. I think only love can do this awakening business. Love that the Holy Spirit pours into me. Love that I choose to accept, so that I can also love in such a way that awakens others' hearts. May it be so...
