Hee hee...

I usually voice my disapproval of people pirating music and movies off the internet. I guess the following story brands me a hypocrite... but I think it's funny so I'll share it anyways. Awhile ago I bought some music from the music store to play at a funeral. Now, it's considered unethical to return music after you've used it... But I knew I was never going to use it again (old Elvis gospel hits...) and, well, I just wanted my 30$ back! I've brought it into the store with me a couple times since, in hopes of returning it, but each time the lady who sold it to me in the first place was working at the till, and I didn't want to risk getting caught... Today however, a different gentleman was at the till. Excellent! So I pulled out the music, saying that I'd like to return it. "Hm, we usually don't return pop music," he says, "but let me ask," at which point he heads to the back of the store where the lady who sold me the music in the first place is, and asks her if it's okay to take this back? Panic gripped me momentarily... She looked up, saw me and said, "For Carla? Of course we'll take it back." No questions asked.
:)
I guess I'm on a first name basis with the people at the music store. Celebrity status. I wonder how many other returns I could do before they became suspicious? Hooray for piracy!

You naughty girl!!! I am glad you didn't let yourself feel guilt ridden over it. You go girl!! I am sure there are a lot of people who read books and return them back to Chapters. O'well, if you have the guts to do that you may as well! Love heather
(why won't it let me pick "Other" to publish this comment? grrr...)
