Random things of today

Watched "Live with Regis and Kelly" for the fourth time- wondered, again, what they have in their huge coffee cups- got really bored during the parade of "staff and their kids' halloween costumes" and stopped watching.

Ate a banana muffin with icing and walnuts on top and drank coffee with it. Oh so good.

Had a student tell me that I was a good teacher. Tried not to act too pleased, jump up and down with glee, or give her a bear hug. Instead, gave her a nice smile and said I was happy to be her teacher.

Had a student give me a note in an envelope. Thought it was something sweet and memorable, making a bit of a fuss over it and putting it aside to "read later." Read later, and found out she was giving me her 30 days notice to quit taking lessons...

Decided to finally become a donor to my favorite radio station, CKUA. Mental note to actually call them tomorrow and set it up. Could possibly win one of their totally awesome big grand prizes.

Poured myself a glass of milk and left just a tiny bit left in the milk container before putting it back in the fridge.

Hello Carla,

You don't know me - but I found your blog via a "google alert" - CKUA. I have this little applet that twigs me every time someone talks about CKUA. I'm the production supervisor at the station, and just wanted to thank you for the mention and to welcome your donation. It's people like you that keep this station going. Many thanks.

Hi Carla,

I don't know you and you don't know me, but Andrew Snyder is my roommate. Andrew told me to take a look at your blog... I enjoy it!

I don't know many people who listen to Martin Sexton or who have heard of The Million Dollar Hotel... you have good taste!

If you ever find yourself browsing blogs, go take a look at mine. I'd love to hear what you think.

This blog has a terrific color scheme and a cool title.

I'm glad you enjoyed expose on Elmo... I'm just glad to see him off "The Street."

Thanks for offering your emotional support in regards to the "adopt an inmate". Sometimes Andrew is such a handful and I find it hard to be strong all the time... if you could take him off my hands for a bit sometime and just give me a break, that would be great! ...hehehe ;)

About "The Million Dollar Hotel"... who's Bono?... j/k... yeah, I saw him in the lobby in one shot.
